03 / Process
Three stages run in this order on every package. A coating or film applied over damaged paint traps the damage underneath it, so measurement and machine correction always come first.
Iron fallout and tar are dissolved, bonded grit is lifted, and the paint is clayed until it passes a bag test. A gauge reads film thickness on every panel before any abrasive work begins.
Swirls, wash marks and lighter scratches are cut back with measured machine passes, then refined to remove haze. Panels reading below our safe clear coat threshold are excluded, and each exclusion is listed in writing on your measurement card.
Corrected panels are wiped with panel prep, then the coating is applied in controlled sections and cured. Durability and hardness figures come from the product datasheet, not from us.

No coating or film makes paint 100% scratch-proof, chip-proof, stain-proof, or damage-proof. Durability figures come from the coating manufacturer's datasheet; the studio does not publish its own durability years.

Straight answers about swirl marks, wash technique, and what a coating can and cannot do. Limits first, promises never.
Swirl marks are fine scratches sitting in the clear coat, almost always from contact washing with a dirty mitt or a brush tunnel. Machine polishing levels the clear coat around them until the paint reads flat under LED light. Correction always comes before protection: coating or film applied over damaged paint simply traps the damage underneath.
Two buckets with grit guards, one clean microfiber mitt, and a pH-neutral soap. Work top down, rinse the mitt before it returns to the bucket, and dry with a plush towel or filtered blower. Skip brush tunnels and dry-wiping dust. A contact wash every two to three weeks keeps the gloss reading close to the day of delivery.
No. No coating or film makes paint 100% scratch-proof, chip-proof, stain-proof, or damage-proof. A coating adds a sacrificial layer that resists wash marring and chemical staining, and it makes cleaning easier. Defects that penetrate the clear coat or reach the base coat stay after correction; they are shown to you on the measurement card before we start.
We do not publish our own durability years. Durability and hardness statements belong to the coating manufacturer's datasheet, and we quote the product by name so you can read the numbers yourself. What we control is preparation, application conditions, and your wash routine. Annual inspection and a maintenance wash keep the layer in measurable shape.
Every panel is measured with an ultrasonic gauge during the free inspection. Panels sitting below our safe clear coat threshold are excluded from machine correction, and you are told in writing which panels are excluded and why. Those panels usually receive a hand-applied finish and coating only, with the correction stage skipped.
A printed measurement card: paint thickness per panel, gloss units before and after at fixed reference points, the coating product name, and the application date. Keep it with the service history. It is the record we compare against at your next inspection.
